Help us! We need a home.
We use to live in the woods in an old tree trunk, but someone built a condo there, and now we have nowhere to go. We use to spend our days in the woods taking care of some of the "less fine" points of nature. Unlike those frilly little girls with their fancy wings, we work in the dirt. Actually, we make the dirt, and mold, and various types of fungus and such. Maybe you've heard of Morrell Mushrooms? That's our work! But mostly, we just gather twigs & branches & dead leaves & such, pile them up, & jump up & down on them until they turn into new soil.
But where we used to live is all covered in this hard grey stuff, kind of like rock. And big, noisy machines come around & eat all the grass. There are no twigs or branches. There aren't even any trees! So now we have no place to work & the work must be done, or soon there will be no dirt!
We would also like to apolagize for our untoward appearance, as CottageFaerie made us take a bath before she would let us on her page.

As a rule, Ash usually deals with
whatever is left behind afer a
forest fire, turning pieces of burnt
wood and ashes into new soil. But
since fires are rare, he also works
with dried out things, and, on
occasion, dead stuff.

I met a little Elfman once,
Down where the lilies blow.
I asked him why he was so small,
And why he didn't grow.
He slightly frowned, and with his eye
He looked me through and
through
"I'm just as big for me," he said,
"As you are big for you!"

Mail I just brought my pixies home about an hour ago!
Aren't they just adorable ?!
I had just made the committment to rededicate
myself to the preservation of the "spirit" of our
way of life by receiving the award above when I
spotted these little girls.I have named the golden
haired one "Periwinkle" ~ she is going to be my
namesake. My other tiny darling, being her sister,
is name Periberry. You be good to my babies ~
and know that they have free run of the entire
meadow, so you never know when you might
see them.
